Trent Alexander-Arnold is disappointed Liverpool were unable to beat Chelsea on Saturday.

The Blues were reduced to ten men after Reece James was sent-off on the stroke of half-time.

But Liverpool were unable to take advantage in the second stanza as Chelsea held onto a 1-1 draw.

"In the second half it was frustrating to see them going down and wasting time, but it's what you expect from any team with 10 men," Alexander-Arnold said.

"At Anfield, playing half the game with 10 men, no matter who you are playing against it's disappointing to come away with only a point.

"We needed to create a few more chances out there and with the possession we had, we could have killed the game off. It's disappointing, to be honest

"The atmosphere at times was frightening, deafening really. But it works hand in hand - we needed to perform better to make it more lively for the fans.

"We have to learn from what we could have done better and try to improve.

"The rhythm will come, but the quality the Premier League has and the way teams have strengthened this season, these could be games we need to win and could regret

"But we have to look forward and hit the ground running after the internationals as we need to pick up points again."
