Jack Wilshere has suffered a setback in his bid to find himself a new club.

Former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder Wilshere left Bournemouth at the end of last season, spending just a few months there, and is currently training with Como.

But he has been dealt a blow in his bid to find a new home with issues over his documentation preventing him from taking up a new second-tier challenge.

A an online post from the official Serie B Twitter account, released on deadline day, translates as: "Jack Wilshere is training with Como 1907 by Jack Gattuso in these hours.

"But he cannot be registered in #SerieBKT because of the non-EU passport."
