Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa feels Raphinha will become an important player for Brazil.

The young playmaker will unlikely earn a call-up for the September international break after Premier League clubs decided to ban players travelling to "red-listed" countries.

Speaking after a win over Crewe Alexandra in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, Bielsa was asked about Raphinha's national team aspirations.

He said: "I feel like Raphinha is going to be important to his country.

"Sometimes that takes a little bit more time. But my impression is it's difficult to say, but I run the risk of giving an opinion.

"I think that he's going to be important for his national team and he's going to have the options to show it, to demonstrate it. I hope that any situation will be resolved and he can play when he is picked."
