Brighton are into the Carabao Cup third-round after beating Championship side Cardiff City.

Jakub Moder's first goal for Albion gave his team an early lead at Cardiff City Stadium.

Andi Zeqiri also opened his account for the Seagulls in the second half to seal victory for the visitors.

Albion boss Graham Potter made 11 changes to the side that started in the win over Watford.

He said: "It was a really satisfying game, and I am very proud of the players.

"I thought they were fantastic, it was only a young team, but I thought they showed quality and courage, especially as they had to defend against a strong and physical team.

"To keep a clean sheet and to score two good goals is not easy.

"It is nice to go through, and we are really pleased with the result."
