
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward says the club is delighted with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's new deal.
Woodward also stated they were pleased with their summer market work.
He wrote in today's match programme: "I hope that you share the excitement I feel about the season ahead, as we look to build on our strong campaign last term.
"The new contract awarded to Ole reflects our firm belief that we're on the right track under his leadership.
"Our objective at Manchester United is always to be competing for the most important trophies with an entertaining, hard-working team comprised of top-class recruits build on a foundation of the best homegrown talent.
