The club's purchase of Raphael Varane has only pushed Jones further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old is now considering his future and would welcome a move to the Championship, per Football League World.
Jones has made 224 appearances for the Premier League giants since arriving at Old Trafford from Blackburn Rovers in 2011.
