Crystal Palace are closing a deal for Watford midfielder Will Hughes.
The Sun says Palace are poised to agree a £10million deal for Hughes with Watford.
The Eagles have now tabled a bid of £7m plus extras for midfield dynamo Hughes, 26, who has refused to sign a new contract with the Hornets.
Palace should also be able to sort out personal terms at around £60,000-a-week to seal the deal.
Patrick Vieira picked up his first point as Palace boss on Saturday, with a 0-0 draw at home to Brentford.
The Eagles are yet to score under the ex-midfielder after two games and Vieira rued his side's lack of final-third quality after the game.
