Burnley manager Sean Dyche admits he is lacking wingers in his squad.
The Clarets have recently been linked with RB Leipzig's wideman Ademola Lookman and free agent Aaron Lennon.
"We are short, particularly in the wide areas," Dyche said after their friendly against Cadiz.
"We are asking Browny to go out there and Erik today, that is something we are still looking at.
"The market has been quiet across the board apart from the superpower stuff.
"It is a funny kind of period at the moment as everyone knows.
"It is about alignment.
"Players are coming in at certain contracts, they are not coming in on open contracts.
"If you are Man City then you come in on what you want.
"We still have a model and it is still there, there might be a little more flexibility for the right players but it won't be ripped up and started again. It is still a process that takes time and we often can't cherry pick and we have to look for the players that might be available that fit into our market so I don't see a radical shift in that.
"Everyone knows the runners and riders, there are no secrets out there. You get the odd one and we have done well with the likes of Popey and Johann and Browny more recently but most clubs know who is out there and who is decent and it is just the ones that fit us."
