Aston Villa striker Wesley is set to sign with Club Brugge on loan.
The Brazilian was not involved in the club's 6-0 Carabao Cup win at Barrow on Tuesday.
The Express & Starsays Wesley was withdrawn after a deal was agreed with the Belgian club.
Wesley joined Villa from Brugge in a then club-record £21million deal two years ago.
But the tall forward has been limited to just four substitute appearances since recovering from a serious knee injury which kept him sidelined for nearly 16 months.
