Arsenal have received a significant transfer blow with the news that Martin Odegaard is likely to stay at Real Madrid.
The Danish midfielder was being linked with a move away from the club, with Arsenal interested in bringing him back to the Emirates Stadium.
Odegaard had a successful half season loan spell at the club last term.
According to AS, new Real manager Carlo Ancelotti will rely on Odegaard and Dani Ceballos this season, due to the injury problems of midfielder Toni Kroos.
Real are not planning any major transfer activity, which means returning loan stars like Odegaard and Ceballos may get a lot of game time.
