Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has questioned FSG's commitment to Liverpool.
Guardiola could not hide his reservations about the owners at Anfield and their apparent lack of desire to spend to improve Jurgen Klopp's squad.
“I am not judging what other clubs do," Guardiola said. “But some owners want to benefit - and our owners don't want any benefits.
“If they (Liverpool) don't want to spend more, maybe it's because they believe they don't need it or because the owners don't want it.
“So they don't invest in the team, while we invest what we can invest.
“What is the problem? It is being regulated for Financial Fair Play, so we are on the same page as everyone.
“If we are wrong then, okay, convict us."
