PSG were prepared to sign Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Manchester United earlier this summer, it has been revealed.
Ronaldo left Juventus on Friday and is in the process of returning to United.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport says PSG made an attempt for Ronaldo before the Portuguese's departure for Old Trafford.
Juve and Ronaldo were prepared to make the move as PSG offered Mauro Icardi in exchange.
But the Argentina international refused to be part of the swap and so the transfer fell through.
