Although Tottenham remain reluctant to sell to a Premier League rival, City representatives are confident that they can still strike a deal for Kane before the deadline, based on previous instances.
City have already broken the Premier League transfer record this window after signing Jack Grealish for £100million from Aston Villa, and would have to break their own record to land the England captain.
