West Ham boss David Moyes insists his team are on the right track.
The Hammers are winless in their last three Premier League games.
Moyes said, "I think as a team we are. We sense it around the club. The team and club are moving in the right direction. If we want to realise how good we are we have to play Manchester Uniteds, Cities and Liverpools, because the job is to try and challenge them as we go along.
"We're still trying to find our level, but I think what we've shown last year and the start of this season, we see no reason why we shouldn't keep ourselves up trying to challenge the top teams."
He added: "I didn't feel we deserved to lose on Sunday and the other games have been tough. "We've only got one defeat this season and we didn't lose in pre-season as well, so I think we're in a really good place at this moment in time."
