The League Two side stunned Turf Moor when they went ahead through Jake Beesley just after half-time.
But the response from Burnley was swift and brutal as Jay Rodriguez headed home Maxwel Cornet's cross three minutes later.
Rodriguez wasn't done however as the Englishman piled in another three goals in the space of 12 minutes in what was a goalscoring masterclass.
