Norwich City striker Josh Sargent was left frustrated after their 3-1 defeat at home to Watford.

Emmanuel Dennis opened the scoring for the visitors early on, before Teemu Pukki replied shortly after the half hour mark with a clinical finish.

However, Watford were ruthless in the second-half and a double from Ismaila Sarr saw them take all three points.

Speaking to canaries.co.uk, Sargent said: “In the first-half, we were competing with them (Watford) very well and a little bit at the beginning of the second-half as well.

“So, I think it's a very frustrating result for us. Letting up in these little moments and conceding these goals obviously blows the wind out of everybody. It takes away the momentum.

“We've got to look to sharpen that type of stuff up and try and get some results.

“It was a close game, we wanted to keep putting pressure on them. At times it was going back and forth a little bit too much. We talked about keeping possession a little bit more (at half-time) to not tire ourselves out.

“It was just little moments we shut off as a team. We conceded too easy goals and as a team, we need to get better."
