Leeds United have opened contract talks with midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

According to the Daily Star, Leeds do not want to lose their star defensive midfielder in the summer.

England international Phillips is a target for the likes of Manchester United, who may be wiling to pay up to £60 million for his signature in the summer.

Phillips has seen his stock rise significantly since his impressive displays in the Premier League last term.

He was also outstanding for England at Euro 2020, as the Three Lions reached the final before losing to Italy on penalties.

Philips is also linked to Manchester City, Liverpool, and Real Madrid.
