Roma players take Mourinho out to dinner

ROMA players decided to take their manager Jose Mourinho out for dinner to celebrate his 1,000th match as coach.

The fact that the team won the match against Sassuolo via a late Stephan El Shaarawy’s goal, which gave Roma their third win in three Serie A games, made the meal at a fish restaurant extra special.

The Special One had admitted after the game that throughout the week he was on tenterhooks about whether he could make the occasion a special one with a win.

His run under the Curva Sud after El Shaarawy’s goal has become one of the most iconic moments of the campaign.

The technical staff and club owner Dan Friedkin were also in attendance.

The players opted to go out on Tuesday so that their preparation for Thursday’s Conference League clash against CSKA Sofia, which Roma won 5-1, would not be affected.
