AC Milan hero Mauro Tassotti insists his old club can be happy with their return to the Champions League.
The Rossonero lost 3-2 at Liverpool this week.
Tassotti said: "This was the first game of a Milan returning to the Champions League after so many years, a game played for the first time by many young players.
"I think it was a formative match and Milan interpreted it well.
"They did what they could do against Liverpool."
