Tim Sherwood says Saul Niguez must bounce back quickly from his poor Chelsea debut.
After being hooked in victory over Aston Villa, he sat on the bench during Chelsea's opening Champions League fixture against Zenit St Petersburg.
Sherwood said: "Saul is a superstar in Spain with Atletico, he comes to the Premier League and it was all too quick for him.
"Hopefully he settles and I'm sure he'll improve, but I don't think these players will get forever to improve.
"They need to start showing their worth otherwise they'll be left out and eventually they'll be moved on."
