Brighton boss Graham Potter says the home support will be key for Saturday's clash with Arsenal.

They are sixth in the Premier League, one point off top spot, but Potter says his side will need the home fans if they are to get over the line against Arsenal on Saturday.

"It was a special atmosphere against Leicester," said Potter. "They [the fans] helped us.

"If we want to win at the weekend, we will need our supporters again. Our fans are really important to us."

"For us to get a positive, we need our team to play well. Arsenal are a high quality Premier League team with fantastic players.

"We have to play really well as a team if we want to get a result."

Potter says his side will be without midfielder Steven Alzate in the game against Arsenal because of an ankle injury.

"Alzate won't be available," confirmed Potter.

"[Yves] Bissouma is making progress, that will be a decision later in the week. Danny [Welbeck] is seeing a specialist.

"Joel [Veltman] has been important since he came in, a model professional and a great guy.

"He's adapted well to a new league, a new club and a new country. He's been great for us."
