Mohamed Elyounoussi admits he's delighted with how things have fallen for him this season.
The Norway attacker is a first-choice for Southampton and also impressing for his national team.
Elyounoussi told VG: "It's mostly about the mental. You are tested all the way down in the basement. Most people look at a football player and think about the glamorous life and everything outside. One forgets that it can be tough in difficult times.
"You are put on the bench and in the stands in several matches in Southampton and knew that I needed to get away a bit."
He recently posted a message on social media, "Work hard in silence and let success make the noise".
"It is a quote I have lived by. It is about being humble and working hard regardless of success. The last couple of years have been a bit special. The way back has been a bit longer."
