KOTA KINABALU – The Sabah government yesterday decided to allow restaurants to place tables outside their premises starting today, said state Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
Masidi, who is also state Covid-19 spokesman, said Sabah had achieved complete vaccination of 40% of its adult population on August 31.
However, he said restaurant owners must still comply with stipulated regulations.
“The conditions include premises owners who rent space from local authorities, in addition to being subject to the standard operating procedures in effect,” he said in statement last night.
There were 2,430 Covid-19 cases recorded in the state yesterday, bringing its cumulative cases to 150,273, and there were 2,415 recoveries, taking total discharges to 117,344 people. – Bernama, September 1, 2021
