Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui is happy to have kept hold of Jules Kounde.
The France defender was blocked from joining Chelsea in the final days of the summer market.
"Jules did not go to Chelsea because the board in Sevilla decided it. They felt that Chelsea's bid was not good enough to sell," Lopetegui told El Diario de Sevilla.
"For me, it is positive. I am sure he will continue to perform at a high level."
The defendder's contract with Sevilla extends to the summer of 2024.
