Everton captain Seamus Coleman has suffered a mysterious injury while with the Republic of the Ireland.
Coleman was with the Republic of Ireland squad for their latest round of World Cup qualifiers this month.
He played the full 90 minutes for his country on Saturday night, as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan.
Ireland are due to take on Serbia on Tuesday evening, and Coleman was set to play a part, but now that will not be the case.
Through their Twitter account, the Republic of Ireland have confirmed that Coleman has suffered an unspecified injury.
