Austria coach Franco Foda is delighted with Yusuf Demir's impact at Barcelona.
His progress at Barça has not gone unnoticed in his home country, where Foda spoke about him to Barca Times.
“He surprised all of us," said Foda. “Nobody in Austria expected he would be a Barca first-team player this year. Nobody thought he was going to play with the first team in the preseason, we thought he was going to Barca B."
Foda is not starting him for Austria at the moment. He explained how the hype has grown around the young forward.
“Today he's considered the most promising player in Austrian football, no doubt. Since we started to know he would be a first-teamer at Barca, a big hype wave started in Austria with him."
