FC Midtjylland defender Jens Cajuste has admitted some frustration failing to get a move away this summer.
The youngster was the subject of interest from Rennes, Brentford and Newcastle United, but ended up remaining with FCM.
He told Sportbladet: "It is clear that you will be a little disappointed. I felt I was ready to take the next step. But so it is in football. I'm not the first for this to happen and not the last. It's just a matter of having the right attitude and helping the club move forward.
"There are advantages and disadvantages with both clubs and leagues.
"The Premier League would have been fantastic fun, but so would Rennes."
