Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has confirmed Jack Stephens has a knee injury.

The defender is facing several weeks out, admits Hasenhuttl.

He said: "Jack Stephens is out. The positive thing is the knee is ok, but the tendon is damaged, it's quiet serious, it will take a long time for him to come back, it depends on his recovery.

Theo Walcott has this week started being part of the team sessions, but it will also take time until he is on a level to help us. It's important to have him back and important to give him training sessions with the team.

"Stuart Armstrong is still unavailable."
