Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby missed out on a move to England on deadline day this week, it has been revealed.
Super Deporte says Newcastle missed out on signing Diakhaby on Tuesday.
The Magpies pushed hard to get a deal over the line for the 24-year-old centre-back before Tuesday's transfer deadline but fell short.
Diakhaby is on the outer at VCF so far this season.
