Barcelona have left themselves vulnerable to losing Memphis Depay after a contract oversight, it has been revealed.
Depay joined Barca this summer in a Bosman transfer from Olympique Lyon.
Mundo Deportivo says while the decision to give Depay only a two-year contract came as a surprise, a further concern is that consideration of a clause to unilaterally extend the deal was considered, but then rejected.
Depay's current deal only runs to 2023.
So far this season, the striker has been outstanding, scoring twice in five games.
