Jesse Lingard has rejected the offer of a new contract with Manchester United.

The Englishman, 28, turned down a move to West Ham United in the final days of the summer transfer window.

Lingard is determined to prove his worth to Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, he doesn't want to commit his future to the club due to concerns over his playing time, per the Evening Standard.

West Ham moved on from Lingard and eventually signed Nikola Vlasic from CSKA.

If everything goes well with the Croatian, it is understood David Moyes would be against revisiting the Lingard deal in January.
