Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed Christian Pulisic is in doubt for Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash with Aston Villa.
The American has not competed in training since suffering an injury on international duty with the United States.
"The game against Aston Villa is maybe too close, I hope I am wrong," Tuchel told reporters.
"This is my impression with him not in training so far. Let's see tomorrow. Maybe he had a good progression today. Maybe it is possible.
"It would be super nice to have him but it is doubtful."
