Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was delighted with matchwinner Rodrygo after their Champions League win at Inter Milan.
Ancelotti was delighted in the immediate aftermath of Real Madrid's 1-0 victory over Internazionale on Wednesday, but the Italian admitted he was most proud of the fact his team showed they knew how to suffer.
Thibaut Courtois was on fine form as the Spanish giants scored an 90th minute winning goal, but it was far from plain-sailing against Simone Inzaghi's charges.
Rodrygo scored a winning goal that could be the spark his Los Merengues career needed, and the Italian coach was delighted with his impact.
"I thought about putting him in the second half, but Inter closed us very well in front of the centre," he said.
"I wanted to open the game from the wings, that's why I put Rodrygo on.
"The game was won by the players, then the changes were important because the players were fresh."
