David Luiz wasn't short of offers to stay in England this season.
After his release from Arsenal in June, Luiz finally penned a two-season deal with Flamengo this week.
However, Globo Esporte says the former Chelsea defender had proposals from West Ham United and Everton to remain in England.
He also was wanted by former club Benfica and Qatar's Al-Rayyan.
But in the end, the 34 year-old Luiz felt a return home to Brazil was the best option at this stage of his career.
