Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has rejected FIFA plans for a World Cup every two years.

The controversial proposal is championed by former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger who is FIFA's Head of Football Growth Development.

With obvious concerns over the already congested fixture calendar, Leeds owner Radrizzani has admitted that FIFA's lack of dialogue over the plans has shown a disharmony within the governing bodies.

"I would like four (years) but perhaps there could be a discussion around every three," he told the Telegraph.

"Why shouldn't Fifa engage? In my opinion, there is a disconnect."
