Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to jump ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.
According to 90Min, Timber is attracting a lot of interest from Premier League clubs, and from other European sides.
The defender does have a contract until 2024, which means any club will have to put in a significant bid to tempt Ajax into a sale.
Spurs could move for the 20-year-old in the January transfer window, as they are attracted by his overall quality, ability on the ball, and his flexibility.
Timber can play at both centre-back and right back, and he may believe his chances of regular football would be higher at Spurs than Chelsea.
