Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa believes his side must adapt to losing several first team stars so early in the season.
The Elland Road club are facing a serious injury crisis, with striker Patrick Bamford the latest to be ruled out of action.
Leeds are 17th in the Premier League, and have not won a game from their opening five this term.
They could be missing six first teamers against West Ham United on Saturday.
"There comes a time when you have to demonstrate the project can resolve these uncomfortable situations," said Bielsa.
"We have a sufficient players and we're prepared to adapt to the absences.
"Against Fulham we had eight or nine players unavailable. I couldn't say it does not matter that so many players were not available.
"Of course, it's an added difficulty when players in the same position are also injured."
