Chelsea chiefs have high hopes for three of their academy youngsters.

The Athletic reports club chiefs have 'high hopes' for Harvey Vale, Charlie Webster and Jude Soonsup-Bell.

The trio are all just 17 years old, but have impressed so much that they have all been promoted to the club's under-23s early.

Midfielder Vale joined Chelsea from Fulham as a 12-year-old and has appeared for the Blues in the EFL Trophy in each of the last two seasons.

He notched five goals and five assists in the under-18s Premier League last season.

Fellow midfielder Webster appeared 21 times for Chelsea in the under-18s Premier League last time out, scoring four times and assisting another three.

Striker Soonsup-Bell, who joined from Swindon Town as an 11-year-old, also appeared in the EFL Trophy last season and certainly knows where the back of the net is.

In 16 under-18s Premier League games last season, he scored 14 goals.
