Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Joel Matip doesn't receive the recognition he deserves.
Klopp believes the defender is unfairly underrated.
He said: "I cannot help people who do not see Matip's quality.
"He was a little unlucky before with injuries here and there, but he is a big boy, a big player, tall and can sometimes look a little 'edgy'. But he is an incredible player.
"He has been amazing since he came to us. We needed the quality when he arrived. We now have five top-class defenders, which is both good and necessary for us."
