Manchester United have offered fans the option of exchanging Edinson Cavani's number 7 jersey with his new number 21.
Cavani gave up the jersey for new team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
He will now wear the number left vacant by Leeds United signing Daniel James, according to The Athletic's Laurie Whitwell.
Whitwell said on Twitter: "Fans who bought this season's kit with Cavani 7 on the back from United Direct/Manchester United Megastore can exchange it for a new shirt, subject to proof of purchase."
Speaking of receiving in the number 7 shirt, Ronaldo said: "I was not sure if it would be possible to have the number seven shirt again.
"So I would like to say a huge thank you to Edi for this incredible gesture."
