Real Betis and Espanyol played out a 2-2 draw at the Estadio Benito Villamarin on Sunday.

Betis were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Granada. Espanyol lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Atletico Madrid.

Budgerigars started the first half well, with Aleix Vidal finding the net, at 16 minutes. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Willian Jose, 41 minutes in, brought Betis level. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Nabil Fekir just before half-time and seeing the first half out 2-1.

Espanyol took the initiative in the second half, thanks to Leandro Cabrera finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ending 2-2.

As the table looks today, Betis are in 11th place on the table and has 6 points while Espanyol sit in 16th with 3 points after 5 matches.
