Aston Villa are facing an international battle with Argentina.

The Daily Star says Argentina are set to completely ignore Villa's stance over the release of keeper Emi Martinez and £38m new signing Emiliano Buendia.

Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni says as far as he's concerned the duo WILL play in all three games meaning they will miss two Premier League games.

Villa had come to an arrangement where they agreed to release their players for matches with Venezuela and Brazil on the condition they miss the last one against Bolivia.

That would have meant that with 10 days quarantine on their return they would only miss the league game with Chelsea on September 11.

Scaloni appears ready to totally ignore that, saying: "We gave the list for the three matches and there's no doubt about it. The players are here for the three matches."
