Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci admits he's rejected Manchester City three times over the past five years.

Bonucci has confirmed City manager Pep Guardiola has tried multiple times to bring him to England.

He told the Athletic: “I had this dream of being trained by Pep.

"We were closest to it in 2016. I was about to move to City. We had reached the final details when Juventus decided not to sell.

“When I went to AC Milan (2017), I could have gone to City too, but a few things would have had to come together for it to work. I also gave my word to Milan."

Guardiola also made an approach in 2018.

“He wanted me, but I told him: 'Juventus is my home. I am happy here'," stated Bonucci.
