Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku admits he had to battle Inter Milan to get a move away.

Lukaku joined Chelsea last month in a deal worth £98m.

He recalled to HLN: "When the third proposal of the Blues arrived I realised that it was something serious and my head was already in London."

Lukaku admits he sought out new Inter coach Simone Inzaghi about letting him leave.

"Chelsea offered 110 million euros plus (Davide) Zappacosta, Inter said no: at that point I went to Inzaghi's office at Pinetina to try to find an agreement."
