Chelsea signing Saul Niguez insists Barcelona was never an option this summer.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder joined Chelsea in a straight loan arrangement yesterday.
Saul had also been mentioned as a target for Barcelona in a swap for Antoine Griezmann, but he insists the Catalans were never in contact.
He told Ibai Lanos on Twitch: "The exchange with Griezmann? Nothing concrete has come from Barcelona. The press talks a lot."
Griezmann returned to Atletico in the final hours of the market last night.
