Barcelona have expanded the duties of Jordi Cruyff.
Cruyff's role at Barcelona was going to be related to international scouting, which was partially true, however it has emerged that the former coach will also be in charge of international contacts, says Marca.
He will not only have to follow up on players around the world that may interest the Catalan club, but he has to take advantage of the numerous contacts he has across the globe to perhaps try and make life easier for Barcelona with regards to negotiating.
Cruyff was present at the Champions League Group Stage draw and took the opportunity to speak and network with a lot of his contemporaries, not least Edwin van der Sar of Ajax.
He also met the heads of the Red Bull clubs in both Leipzig and Salzburg.
