Marc Cucurella is confident settling quickly at Brighton.
The wing-back says his role on the Premier League pitch will be about action more than words.
The Spain under-21s skipper said: “I love to be a leader, not by speaking a lot but by working hard and creating that kind of environment and making sure the team is like a family.
“If there's a good atmosphere off the pitch then you notice it on the pitch. It helps us all and this is how great teams work."
Cucurella is expected to compete strongly for the left wing-back berth and fancies a wide role.
He said: “If it's on the left, which is where I always play, I don't mind what position I'm in, whether at the back or a bit further forward.
“I am comfortable anywhere and ultimately it is the manager's decision and, wherever he plays me, I will do my best to help the team."
