Real Madrid fullback Alvaro Odriozola is excited about his loan move to Fiorentina.
The Spaniard was presented to local Florence media this morning after arriving on a season-long arrangement.
Odriozola said: "I want to thank Fiorentina, the president and the coach (Vincenzo) Italiano. I also thank all the Fiorentina staff for how I was welcomed. I was lucky enough to be born in one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and now to live in one of the most beautiful cities of beautiful Italy. I was impressed by the game and the project and this is what convinces.
"The formula for now is that of a dry loan but in football you never know and we'll see what will happen at the end of the season. I want to become an important element of this team and I want to do everything to bring Fiorentina back as high as possible.
"I come from the biggest club in the world and I think this experience is important for a player. Today I am at Fiorentina which has little or nothing to envy of Real and Bayern. Viola are part of Italian football and I have always had the will to marry this project because of the importance of the club.
"I think my experience can help me reach the goal of bringing the team to the top in the Italian league."
