Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has called up eight youngsters to first team training this week.

A host of Solskjaer's squad have jetted off on international duty for the next fortnight, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho.

With United's current ranks depleted until their return, the Old Trafford chief has invited some of the club's most promising prospects to link up with the first team, reports the Mirror.

Charlie Savage, the son of former Leicester City ace Robbie Savage, was one of the teenagers involved, along with Alvaro Fernandez, Bjorn Hardley, Dillon Hoogewerf, Joe Hugill, Marc Jurado, Charlie McNeill, and Charlie Wellens.

All eight have a chance to impress the Norwegian ahead of United's trip to Leicester when they resume their Premier League campaign this weekend.
