Lille whizkid Angel Gomes has spoken about the influence of Nani on his career.
The former Manchester United youth product is impressing with Lille in Ligue 1, and is now reporting for international duty with England's youngsters.
The 21-year-old admits he experienced a lot of pressure coming through the ranks at United, but says that ex-United winger Nani helped him during difficult moments.
He said: "Nani's influence has been massive from when I was young at United. He was someone I grew up idolising, on and off the pitch. He was the first footballer I knew and he was amazing, humble and proved to me footballers are normal people.
"I remember the first time I went to his house. As a lad growing up in Salford you don't go to too many mansions and drive down those types of streets.
"I was confused where I was going. When Nani was there it was surreal. I was asking him loads of questions. How do you do the backflip, whatever!"
He added: "He always saw me in the academy and I was a young kid playing FIFA at his house. Just being a kid.
"He has shown me lots off the pitch. For instance when I was in Portugal last season it was all about off the ball and the intensity, and to work on that side of the game."
